1947-2025
Donald Lee Carr 77, of Star City, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home after a long battle with MDS. Donald was born December 10, 1947 in Star City to the late Agnes Ann Carr and the late Ben William Carr. Donald was retired from Wal-Mart and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to ranch with his cows, enjoyed woodworking and playing dominos.
Mr. Carr was also preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Joseph “Joey” Carr.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Alecia Carr of Star City; two daughters, Wendy Holcomb (Robert) of Adel, GA and Heather Totty (Clay) of Wynne; two sisters, Vada Ann Fowler (Marshall) of Cabot and Bennie Jean Rice (Eugene) of Star City, mother in law Alice McGehee of Star City, four grandchildren, Andrew Holcomb (Marley) of Cecil, GA Sean Holcomb of Hampton, VA, Jacey Hairston (Mark) of Little Rock and Presley Totty of Wynne; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Graveside services are 2:00pm Friday, April, 18th, 2025 at Holly Springs Cemetery. Bro. Elmer Byerly will officiate. Visitation will begin 1:30pm before the service at the cemetery. Pallbearers are Cecil Graham, Nick Nichols, Larry Deweese, Ronnie McGehee, Darrell Donaldson, and Josh Rodgers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the CARTI Foundation, P.O.
