1963-2025
Dewell Leon Lovell Jr. of Prattsville was born June 24, 1963, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Dewell Leon Lovell Sr. and Beatrice Bernice Evans. Dewell was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and was known to be an avid outdoorsman. Whether it was fishing or hunting, especially squirrel hunting, he would take any chance he had to be out in the woods doing what he loved. Dewell also spent his time hanging out with his many friends but especially with his best friend and hunting buddy Prentis. Dewell was a simple man who loved his lord, his family and his friends above all, he will be dearly missed.
Dewell passed away Tuesday February 25, 2025, peacefully at his home at the age of 61.
He is preceded in death by his father Dewell Leon Lovell Sr., brother John Lovell, grandparents Virl and Mosell Williams and Clinton and Anna Lovell, and infant sibling Ernest Virl Jr. and several uncles and aunts.
He is survived by his mother Bernice Evans, sons Casey Lovell and Clay (Abby) Lovell, daughters Lindsey (Andy) Hafs, Cassie Lovell, and Sonya (Rachel) Lovell, brother Gary Lovell and several other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Dewell's home on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital where Dewell frequently donated.
