1950-2025
David Charles Lane gained his angel wings on February 25, 2025. He was born January 23, 1950, to Earl and Mary Louise Lane.
He was a loving man and husband. He was a longtime farmer and retired from the City of DeWitt.
David was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Snyder.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janeal Lane of Almyra; his brothers and sisters Jean (James) Howe and Junior Lane of DeWitt, Roger (Charlotte) Lane of Humphrey, and Mae (Paul) Hendrix and Kay Ashbrook of Almyra, a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends Tommy Bounds of Almyra and Donnie Brown of Stuttgart. A special thank you to Cris Crum for always being there for his Uncle David.
Visitation will be February 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 March 1 at Thompson Cemetery.
