David C. Bush, 76, of Pine Bluff, was a loving husband, devoted father and family man who loved being surrounded by family and friends.
He passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
David was born June 1, 1948, in Pine Bluff, son of Jarrell Bush and Norma Howe Bush.
He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1966. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
David worked at Simmons Bank for many years, retiring in 2016.
He enjoyed hunting, particularly duck and deer hunting, and fishing.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Rhodes Bush, whom he married January 23, 1967 in Pine Bluff; daughter, Angela Bush Thomasson of Pine Bluff; son, Michael Bush (Christy) of White Hall; brother, Jerry Bush (Marlene) of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Morgan Bush and Mason Thomasson; step-grandchildren, Shane Caviness (Kaylee Welcher), Alex Caviness (Taylor) and Bailey Smith (Hadley); great-grandchildren, Willow Webb; step-great-grandchildren, Carter Caviness and Phillip James “PJ” Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Steve Monk officiating. Interment will follow in Rowell Cemetery.
