Darlene Woolever Guanajuato, 71 of Star City, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her home. She was born August 23, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Lawrence and Maxine Rackley Woolever. She was of the Catholic faith, cosmetologist and hairstylist for Regis Hair Salon, member of the Star City Garden Club, loved Elvis, enjoyed working outside, and loved spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eric Guanajuato; and a sister, Dorothy Wells.
Survivors include her significant other, Guillermo Ybarra; son, Ruben (Cyndi) Guanajuato of Gould; daughter, Deana (Whitney) Guanajuato of Star City; 3 sisters, Ruthie (Pete) Grey, Lorine White, and Deloris (Thomas) Ybarra, all of Heber Springs; 6 grandchildren, Christian Robinson, Maygen Guanajuato, Emily Guanajuato, Zack Guanajuato, Nickalie Guanajuato and Emma Guanajuato; 2 great-grandchildren, Arianna Guanajuato and Brantley Guanajuato; and 2 best friends, Joann Hopper and Linda Bradshaw.
Funeral services are 2:00PM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Don Grey, Sr. officiating. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
