Colton House, 23
2001-2024

Colton James House was born April 19, 2001 in Benton, Ar.  Our precious son left us suddenly November 23, 2024 at the young age of 23 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Colton was our miracle child, born to parents James House and Ashley Faulkner.  He attended Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Ar.  He participated in football, in which his unbridled passion for the game was inspiring through overcoming adversities and medical issues with his hips, not allow it to keep him from playing the game he loved so.  He worked hard and pushed through the pain never once complaining.  He continued to chase his dream playing football in college at UAM.  He played until the pain took the joy away and became too much to bear, then he shifted his focus to achieving a coaching degree so he could still be a part of his passion, while making a positive impact on young men.  Colton volunteered to coach his little brother Mason's peewee football team and was proud to be his coach.  Colton would have made the best football coach!

Colton was extremely humble and shy, but still well known by many.  Colton had the most amazing spirit.  He was the kindest most gentle soul who cared and loved deeply for anyone he came into contact with.  Anyone who had the opportunity to meet or know Colton was truly blessed, and they would attest to him being a gentle giant.  Colton was a big man with a much bigger heart.  He was a shining light in a world full of darkness.  This world did not deserve such a beautiful soul.

Colton's other passion was an absolute love for all things outdoors.  Hunting and fishing brought that young man so much joy and happiness.  He was a very good turkey hunter and had many great memories with his dad chasing those thunder chickens.  Colton worked hard to become a skilled turkey hunter, as he wanted to be able to take his best friend and little brother Mason.  He did just that, calling up Mason his first turkey and then some!

The outdoors and the time spent with his family made his heart happy!  He so loved fishing and camping with his brother and his loyal dog.  He loved duck hunting with his brothers and cousin Kyle.  He looked so forward to those hunts each year.  Colton and his sidekick "Django" worked hard each year getting ready for duck season; but the truth is, it was about the time spent with his brothers and family.  Colton adored his mom, she was his rock.  He cherished the times spent outdoors with his mom.  As time went by and Mason joined Colton on these trips, his mom allowed their relationship to flourish and bond, she took so much joy in staying home cooking the boys breakfast and listening to their tales of adventures together.  He thoroughly enjoyed hunting with his stepdad Bobby, and helping him teach his younger brother Mason about the outdoors and being safe.  Colton was the best big brother, and his brothers and sister were blessed to have his mentorship.

Colton shared a special bond with his dad.  A bond that was so cherished by his dad, Colton always thought it was about catching a fish, calling in a big tom, or killing a deer but to his dad it was so much more.  His dad had the blessing to take Colton into the woods for the first time as a little boy, and on November 23rd his dad took him back out of the woods for the last time.  Before they took that last trip out of the woods, Colton went home to meet his true Father, God, at the pearly gates of heaven.  Although we are heartbroken beyond belief, we have comfort knowing he is rejoicing and was welcomed by loved ones on those streets of gold.  We lost our precious boy but heaven gained a special angel.  Colton was preceded in death by his "Papaw" Arthur Parker, whom he absolutely adored.  His loving Aunt and Uncle Bill and Glenda Murphy, his beautiful cousin Christy Murphy.

Colton is survived by his loving parents James (Tracy) House, and Ashley (Bobby) Faulkner.  Grandparents Marsha Parker, Rusty and Kim Burnett, Andy and Kris White, and Janet and Jim Parson.  Aunts and Uncles Shawn and Deanna House, Roy and Carol Murphy, Johnathan and Beverley Parker.  Cousins Cami and Kyle Fleming, Brent Parker, and Peyton Griffino.  Siblings Mason Faulkner, Ethan White, Brody White, Taylor White.  Lastly, his sidekick and "co-heart in crime" Django.

Service is to be held at Grace Church (24300 US-167, Hensley, Ar 72065) on Friday, November 29, 2024.  Visitation will take place from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with Brother Tommy Jones of Grace Church and Neal Hollinger of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Jacob Cemetery.
