Clifton Bartow White, III, 63, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
He was born June 21, 1961 in Tampa, Florida, son of C.B. White, Jr. and Margaret Newsom White.
Cliff was reared and received his early education in Tampa, Florida, graduating from H.B. Plant High School in Tampa. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Sigma Fraternity. He enjoyed many annual float trips with his fraternity brothers throughout his adult life.
Mr. White worked at Simmons Bank for many years, ending his career there as a Senior Vice President. He later retired from Jenkins Enterprises in Pine Bluff.
He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, where he served as a Deacon and treasurer, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Renee Phelps White, whom he married November 30, 1985 in Pine Bluff; three adult children, C.B. “Buddy” White, IV of Jonesboro, Elizabeth White of Jonesboro and Joshua (Taylor) White of Salisbury, Maryland; sister, Anne (Tim) Bresnahan of Tampa, Florida; nephews, T.J. (Angie) Bresnahan and their daughter, Adalyn, David (Brittany) Bresnahan and their daughter, Esme; and cousins, Earl (Lynn) White, Bruce White, Carolyn (Jim) Spencer and Jim (Melanie) Morgan.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff with Brother Dalton Adger officiating by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at First Baptist Church.
