1940-2025
Bruce H. Walker, age 84 of Fordyce was called home Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born on December 1, 1940 in Carthage, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Lewis Homer Walker and Annie Virginia Roberts Walker. He was retired from Coleman Dairy and was a member of Pine Crest Missionary Baptist Church.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Walker; and his sisters Marjorie Walker, Edna Mae Bane and Martha Wylie.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elva Dean Nutt Walker; two children, Holly (Edward) Patterson of Lindale, TX, Christopher Walker of Fordyce; four grandchildren, Meredith Walker, Peyton Walker, Sam Walker, Avery Patterson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Sharry Nutt of Wylie, TX, Tommy and Beverly Nutt of Fordyce, Ricky and Carla Nutt of Curtis; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideons International. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Wheeler Cemetery with Rev. Everett Smith officiating.
