1949-2024
Bill Usery, 75, of Higginson, passed away October 18, 2024 in his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was the husband of Barbara Usery. They shared 50 great years of marriage together.
He was born February 12, 1949 in Searcy, AR, to the late Elmo and Imogene Usery. He was retired from Usery Brothers Mill and Pallet where he and his brothers ran a successful business for 30+ years. He attended First Assembly of God in Searcy. He was a loyal and loving husband that will be missed. His children and grandchildren were the love of his life. Until his last breath he put his family first even beyond his suffering. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the great outdoors.
Whether being cut off on a big buck by his brother Jim or whipping up on his younger brother, Mike in the bass boat. He just wanted to be there every single day. He will be remembered by his tenacious drive to inspire everyone around him to be a better person.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Usery, Son Kenneth Usery (Brandy) of Beebe, Daughter Samantha Bennett (Brent) of Judsonia and 5 Grandchildren, (Morgan, Blake, Kevin, Dawson and Autumn). He is also survived by 2 brothers (Jim and Mike), 2 sisters (Mary June and Marsha) as well as many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by one brother (Frank). The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in Kensett, AR.
There will be no official visitation, but time will be allotted immediately following the service for his celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donation be made in memory of Bill Usery, to Searcy First Assembly of God, specifically for the building fund in order to grow ministry in the church.
