Just think of him as resting, from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Mr. Dorn, made his transition on November 10, 2024 to join that heavenly band, so he can dance through-out eternity.

Bewing Zenor Dorn, affectionately known as, “B,” “B1,” “B. Dorn,” and “PaPa” was born July 2, 1930, in Grapevine, Arkansas. He was the eldest child in his family and had 12 younger siblings.

Dorn married his childhood friend, Jewel Collins, on March 22, 1954. They were richly blessed with seven children. Determined to escape poverty, Dorn had a strong work ethic and worked for several employers. Every job he accepted paid more and provided better benefits than the previous one. He was blessed to work at Cotton Belt Railroad in Pine Bluff Arkansas for more than 30 years. Dorn was grateful for his job .

Dorn was no stranger to work. But he was also known for having a good time. He had a carefree spirit, quick sense of humor, and was naturally entertaining. With his facial expressions and word choices (that he made up), he enjoyed making people laugh as much as he enjoyed laughing himself. In addition to spending time with friends and family, he liked to go hunting for squirrels and raccoons, fishing, and taking care of hogs that he raised on a farm. He would often take his grandchildren to the hog pen, where he spent countless hours teaching them about the importance or working hard and enjoying life.

As he reached his senior years, Dorn became more Christ-centered and focused on the importance of not only attending church but living a Christian life. He was known for being well dressed for church and special events. He valued spending individual and collective time with his children and grandchildren and was eager to share laughter and valuable life nuggets with them. Surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was extremely pleased with the celebration of his 94th birthday party in July. His family takes comfort in knowing that he loved them and that he knew that they loved him.
