Betty Joe Burr passed away Monday, February 3rd at The Blossoms of Star City Rehab and Nursing Center. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Ruby Ratterree Burr.
Betty was a member of the Star City First United Methodist Church and a dedicated member of the Mountain Home Methodist Church.
Betty worked as a radio operator for the Arkansas Game and Fish. Betty enjoyed painting a variety of items, she worked tirelessly fulfilling Christmas orders for others during the Christmas season. Her other passion, along with her sister, was to collect information to complete many books on the genealogy on the Burr family. Betty’s God’s gift was to care for stray dogs and cats, along with protecting the nature of the trees and wild animals.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and beloved sister, Barbara Ann Burr.
She is survived by “God Son” Chris (Rebecca) McGee and his two sons, John and Zachary, along with many cousins, friends and caregivers, Debbie Riley, Greg (Becky) Morgan and William (Theresa) Sanders.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Mountain Home Cemetery with Bro. Russell Hull officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
