1936-2025
Barbara Jean Griffin Boyd, 89, of DeWitt passed away January 20, 2025. She was born January 6, 1936, in Charleston, MO, to Leland B. and Willie Mae Baker Griffin.
Jean was a loving wife and mother, and was a devoted grandmother. She was always ready to support whatever activities her grandchildren in. Jean babysat children at her home for many years, and she was Granny to all of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years Robert "Bobby" Boyd, Sr.; her son Robert "Bob" Boyd, Jr.; daughter Debbie Horton; and five brothers and sisters.
Jean is survived by her sons Gary Lynn Boyd (Tina) and Brian Boyd (Lisa) both of DeWitt; eight grandchildren and their families Steven Boyd, Rob Boyd, Lori Snyder, Gary Padgett, Heather Padgett, Drew Boyd, Jacob Boyd, and Kaden Boyd.
Graveside services will be 1:00 Friday, January 24 at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or First Baptist Church Young at Heart.
