Ashton Elizabeth Duke, 21
2004-2025

Ashton Elizabeth Duke was born May 20, 2004, in Pine Bluff. Since birth, she has been a living miracle, having beat all odds of never walking or having any quality of life. What they didn’t know was that Ashton had an enormous support team of family, friends, and medical professionals who would pour their time and love into her physical and mental health and conquer the unimaginable. At age 16, she was able to wear shoes and walk without braces. She was a 2023 graduate of the Arkansas School for the Blind. She was able to learn to dance at the I Can Dance of Arkansas, where she was one of the first class. Ashton loved to watch the Food Network and was a fan of all things Disney and Harry Potter. Weekends were spent online with her dear friends playing Xbox. She also enjoyed playing Pixel Art on her tablet.

Ashton passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the age of 20. She was preceded in death by her sister, Courtney Elizabeth Duke and a nephew, Terry.

Survivors include her mother, Millie Sharp Duke; her brothers, Wesley Frank Duke and Brayden Thomas Duke; half-brother, Chevy Carroll; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; her best friend, Isa Tajae; and her beloved Himalayan cat, Toralie.

A special thanks and gratitude go out to Julie Mayberry, Judy Law, Jennifer Baker, and Estee Sneed for their years of love and support shown to Ashton.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.

The family kindly requests that memorial contributions in Ashton’s name be made to I Can Dance of Arkansas, 1040 Angel Court, Little Rock, AR 72206.
