Amanda Weaver Greer, age 53, passed February 19, 2025 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born September 21, 1971 in Warren, Arkansas to the Billy Weaver and Bonnie Stricklin Hayes. She was a Diagnostician / Instructor at the U of A Nematode Lab in Hope, Arkansas and worked with her husband at William Greer’s Farm. She attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Stamps, Arkansas. She was devoted fan at the Arkansas Razorback Football games. She loved deer and hog hunting with her husband. She enjoyed hiking and photographing nature. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her daughter Dakota.
Other than her father she is preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Weaver. She is survived by her husband, of 22 years and 4 days, William “Shotgun” Greer, of Stamps, AR; daughter, Dakota Greer; mother, Bonnie Stricklin Hayes of Warren, AR; Step-mother, Harriet Jennings Simkins of Warren, AR; sisters, Julie Hayes Wagnon and Leeann Hayes.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church of Lake Village, Arkansas. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Bro. Richard Barley and Bro. Philip Payne officiating. Interment will take place at Oak Grove free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
