The state has set up a new website that will allow those affected by this past weekend’s tornadoes to request help. The website, www.helparkansas.com will also be a portal to donate to relief efforts. Governor Sanders has released an initial $250,000 from the state’s disaster relief fund and has deployed state police and national guardsmen to help.  Sanders said she has been in contact with both President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Tornadoes touched down in Diaz, Cave City, Fitzhugh, Fifty-Six, Larkin and Paragould.

Friday was the first time since ’97 that multiple EF-4 tornadoes hit the state. Tornadoes that day killed 45.
