Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington and Christopher Taylor, the Associate Director for Pine Bluff of DePaul U.S.A. appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Thursday to promote a film dealing with homelessness that was shown Thursday night as a kick-off for fundraising for the Opportunity House facility in the city.
Washington was asked about members of the council talking about tiny houses and container houses during the most recent meeting, and if that was a part of the city’s program to reduce homelessness.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Taylor if some of the people they were trying to reach were really looking for jobs and couldn’t find one, or If there were some mental issues involved.
Horne also asked Taylor if he found that some people just don’t want to get help despite efforts to help them.
