Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington delivered her annual State of the City address Thursday evening at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Mayor Washington addressed the past year of growth with the development of new infrastructures and as a result, a rise in the number of jobs available in the city.
Councilmember Joni Alexander responded to the Mayor’s address, acknowledging the growth in infrastructure in Pine Bluff.
Mayor Washington gave her sincere thanks to the first responders of the city for their courage and determination throughout the pandemic and acknowledged the new facilities.
Fire Chief, Shawn Howell also talked about the new facilities in his department.
Councilmember Steven Shaner who was also present at the Mayors address and talked about the cities’ progress.
