A one-vehicle accident in the early morning hours Wednesday in Grady resulted in the death of an unidentified man.
According to a preliminary report, the man was driving a 2015 BMW that was northbound on Main Street just north of Wood Circle. The driver failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway to the right.
The report said the driver overcorrected his steering, causing the vehicle to reenter and then leave the roadway to the left. The vehicle then struck a telephone pole and continued traveling until it struck a building and came to rest inside the building.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 1:59 a.m. and the death was the 267th so far this year on the state’s highways.
