While recent polls show that most Democratic candidates for statewide office trail their Republican opponents by margins of 20 points or more.
That is not the case however in the Governor’s race where Democrat Chris Jones is within 10 points of Republican Sarah Huckaby Sanders with one week to go before the election.
On Tuesday, Jones was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and host Greg Horne asked Jones what he attributed that to.
Jones then went on to say this.
During the last election, Jones said 1 million people did not vote, adding that the state, with a population of 3 million is 50th in voter registration and voter turnout.
Morning show host Greg Horne asked Jones where he stood on Amendment 4, which if adopted, would legalize recreational marijuana in the state. Horne said there have been multiple arguments on both sides of the question and Jones responded this way.
