Jefferson County’s Revenue and Spending Trends for Early 2025

In the first two months of this year, Jefferson County has received just over $22 million, about $2 million less than for the same time period in 2024.

The county has also spent $4.5 million less during that period than it did year earlier. Spending for January and February totaled $22.1 million compared to $26.6 million in 2024.

According to the monthly report prepared by County Treasurer Vonysha Goodwin, the County General Fund had $326,703.10 available for appropriation compared to $305,275.50 in 2024.

Beginning with a balance of $220,016.01, the county received an additional $165,069.04 in revenue from the Saracen Casino, bringing the two-month total of more than $381,000 which was subsequently transferred out.
