Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013, and this week Jason Duren was joined by Linda Bateman to talk about the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Bateman said if a child is signed up at birth they receive all 60 books while if they are signed up at age 2, they will receive 36 books.

Bateman told 1013’s Jennifer Lipp it costs $26 to sponsor one child for one year and Lipp asked her how the community can be more involved?

Duren said one of the biggest advocates for the program is Lelan Stice of Doctor’s Orders Pharmacy and Town and Country Hardware Store.
