Former Watson Chapel star Tink Hence, who is in his first full season with the St. Louis Cardinals AA affilitate in Springfield, Missouri, was one of four minor league prospects that were invited to the historic game last week at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. The game designed as a tribute to the great Willie Mays, who got his start in Birmingham as part of the Barons, a SF Giants affiliate.

Hence was joined by Chase Davis, Tre Richardson and Trey Paige at the game, which the Cardinals won 6-5. Mays was originally scheduled to attend the game, but had to cancel due to failing health. He passed the day before the game was held.
