The Grant County Quorum Court has approved legislation to buy containers for scrap metal recycling.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, a grant from the Southeast Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Management for just over $29,000 will pay for three open top containers.
At the same meeting, County Judge Randy Pruitt reported that workers are completing chip seal work on Grant County Road 65 and the City of Sheridan will overlay the road using state aid funds.
The road is a shared responsibility between the city and county.
