Grant County residents wanting to renew their vehicle license or get a new one will find things are easier now that the new Grant County Annex is open.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, the annex, located in the former First Baptist Church at the corner of West Bell and North Rose Streets in Sheridan has been totally remodeled, using money from the American Rescue Plan.
The annex contains the Grant County Assessor, Grant County Collector and the Arkansas State Revenue Office.
Grant County Judge Randy Pruitt told the newspaper that he sees opportunities for additional renovations and improvements to the annex, which has significant storage space that the courthouse does not have. He also said he plans to consult other elected officials to develop a plan for repurposing two currently vacant offices.
