Go Forward Pine Bluff (GFPB) is proud to announce that the collaborative between GFPB and the Pine Bluff Urban Renewal Agency has developed a new partnership with celebrated local artist Greg Newsome to bring vibrant, original art to the heart of downtown.
As part of the Sixth & Main revitalization Project, Newsom has been commissioned to create a series of murals and a custom art panel that will capture the spirit, history, and future of Pine Bluff.
The murals will serve as a dynamic visual centerpiece for the new mixed-use space, which will house restaurants, retail, and a bar, supporting local entrepreneurs and creating a new hub for community life.
Newsome has been in love with art since he was 8 years old, and it has been his profession since 2011.
“It will be a pleasure to finally create art in my hometown,” Newsom stated.
Dr. Ryan Watley of GFPB. spoke with Deltaplex News about the Sixth and Main Project.
Watley said they will set an opening date for the Sixth and Main Project very soon.
There will be three restaurant’s and retail space featured once the building opens.
Additional details about the mural designs and installation timeline will be announced soon.
