Four people, three of them from Star City, were arrested Tuesday after they reportedly took scrap metal from a building.
Lindsey Crews, 41, of Pine Bluff, Deseree Manis, 27, Jimmy Carrington Sr., 50, and Jimmy Carrington Jr., 21, all of Star City were taken into custody by a witness who held them for police.
Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained the circumstances leading to the arrest during a court hearing Thursday.
King said Jimmy Carrington Jr., is currently on probation stemming from a 2019 conviction for aggravated assault and terroristic threatening and the other three defendants have no prior convictions or pending charges.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set $5,000 bonds for Crews, Manis and Carrington Sr., and a $10,000 bond for Carrington Jr., after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge them with breaking or entering.
