The first batch of fans were picked up by the Area Agency on Aging during the 2024 Deltaplex Beat the Heat fan drive Wednesday morning. Leland Stice with Town and Country Hardware is offering box fans at their wholesale price if you elect to donate to the fan drive, Stice discussed with us Wednesday morning that Area Agency on Aging will be delivery the fans to those in need.
Other local businesses have gotten involved by being the first to donate along with Town and Country, Central Moloney, Midtown Tire and Sissy’s Log Cabin to name a few. United Way Executive Director Jason Duren thinks fans can have huge impact in the Deltaplex, specifically for the elderly.
To donate fans you can take them to Town and Country Hardware 5900 Dollarway Rd. If you need to buy a fan they will sell to you at wholesale cost. Also, you can take fans to United Way office at 211 W 3rd in Pine Bluff. To donate cash to be used for fans call United Way offices at 870-534-2153.
