Multiple drug enforcement operations in Ashley, Bradley, Desha, and Drew counties resulted in the arrest of 21 individuals and seizure of illegal narcotics valued at approximately $6,194,090.00 in the month of February.
The operations were a joint effort by multiple law enforcement agencies including the 10th Drug Task Force, Ashley County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Police Department, McGehee Police Department, Drew County Sheriff’s Office, Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Warren Police Department, Desha County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas Community Corrections Probation and Parole, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Department of Corrections K-9 Units, and law enforcement agencies from the State of Louisiana.
The operations included 18 residential searches that resulted in drug seizures to include:
59,801 grams of methamphetamines
27 grams of powdered cocaine
25 grams of crack cocaine
16 grams of ecstasy pills
30 grams of fentanyl powder
4,564 grams of marijuana
108 dosages of Schedule IV pills
71 opioid pills
930 grams of promethazine with codeine.
Authorities emphasize that these efforts are part of an ongoing commitment to reduce overall deaths, combat drug trafficking, and organized crime, and ask for the public to report any suspicious activity and continue working together to keep communities safe.
