Recipes in History: 1920s Canned Corned Beef & Creamed Cabbage In-Person

This week, we’re going back to the Roaring Twenties, where flapper dresses, jazz music, and surprisingly hearty meals took center stage. Forget the glamour of champagne towers—today, we’re bringing you a dish that’s as practical as it is nostalgic: Canned Corned Beef and Creamed Cabbage. Straight from the pages of The Pine Bluff Daily Graphic in 1920, this recipe is a perfect example of WWI and Depression-era ingenuity. A time when canned goods were a pantry staple and cabbage was the star of many a dinner table.
