Deltaplex Area Weather Delays & Closures

Here is a listing of some of the closings and delayed starts around the Deltaplex over the next few days. If your business, school, government office, etc. has any kind of delay or closure email [email protected] to be added to the list.

Friday:

Sheridan Schools will be closed on Friday February 21st

Pine Bluff Schools will resume normal operations on Friday, February 21.

Watson Chapel Schools will resume normal operations on Friday, February 21, 2025. Our away makeup games against Crossett (11:00 am) and Star City (5:30 pm) will be played Saturday, February 22.

The White Hall School District will follow its regular bell schedule on Friday, February 21. However, several bus routes will operate on the winter weather route. If you are unable to safely reach your bus stop, please contact your building principal.

The following buses will follow the winter weather routes this afternoon:

Bus 53 will pick up at Terry’s Foods at 7:20
Bus 65
will pick up at Hwy 365 and Sheryl Road (students on Sheryl and Kady Roads) and Tracey and 365 (students on Tracey Rd) at 7:10
Bus 66
(students off of River Rd) will pick up at Terry’s Foods at 7 AM
Bus 69
will pick up at NCTR and Hwy 365 at 7:10
Bus 74
will pick up at German Springs and Gravel Pit at 7:30.
Bus 77
will pick up at I-530 and ext 24 (students on Stagecoach and Mail Route) at 7, Jefferson Post Office (students on Ussery and Montana) at 7:15, and at Spring Market (all other bus 77 riders) at 7:45.
Bus 78
will pick up at Mammoth Orange at 7:30.

ALL OTHER BUSES WILL FOLLOW THEIR REGULAR ROUTE.


Thursday:

OPEN:

White Hall Schools will be open on Thursday February 20th. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. School begins at 10 a.m.

Fordyce Schools will be open on Thursday February 20th

Cleveland County Schools (Rison) will be open on Thursday February 20th

Woodlawn Schools will be open on Thursday February 20th

Stuttgart School District will be delayed 2 hours on Thursday February 20th

Dumas schools open with a 2 hour delayed start time.

SEARK College to remain in virtual instruction. (Campus closed)

Waste Management says Wednesday’s residential and commercial routes in Pine Bluff and White Hall will be serviced Thursday with a delayed start. These routes are scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. Friday’s trash routes will be delayed one service day.

The Jefferson County Teachers Association (JCRTA) will not meet February 20 at the Donald W. Reynolds Service Center due to icy  weather conditions.  JCRTA’s next meeting will be March 20.

PINE BLUFF TRANSIT will be closed on Thursday, February 20, 2025 due to inclement weather. Service will resume on Friday February 21, 2025 on regular service hours for ADA and Fixed Route. Officials will closely monitor weather and road conditions to ensure public safety

Delayed

Star City vs Watson Chapel basketball has been rescheduled for 5:30 Saturday.

Sheridan Cheer Tryout Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25

The campus conversation with UAPB chancellor finalist Robert C. Mock, Jr., EdD will now take place on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 2pm in the STEM Building Conference Center.

Waste and Recycle Provider, LRS to discontinue routes effective Wednesday February 19, 2025, due to adverse weather conditions, landfill closures and road safety concerns. If the roads remain unsafe for collections for more than one day, then will pick up two weeks of trash and recycle next week on normal collection day.

Watson Chapel basketball games scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18. No reschedule date has been announced.
