Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman is a forester and chairman of the Congressional Natural Resources Committee.
Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show, he was asked his take on the wildfires in California, particularly since a lot of people, including the president are saying that the state didn’t do their job in helping to prevent those fires.
Westerman went on to say that he believes that played a big part in California losing a seat in the House of Representatives because of the drop in population. Westerman said that was the first time in California has lost a seat since it became a state.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Westerman if that was the reason there has been this big fight over immigration, a battle for congressional seats.
Horne also asked Westerman about all the legislation that President Trump has proposed and how slim majorities for Republicans in the house and senate will affect getting that legislation passed.
