Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson has issued a burn ban that is effective immediately, joining several other counties with active burn bans include Bradley, Cleveland, Dallas, Desha, Drew, Grant, and Lincoln counties.
The burn ban includes the cities of Pine Bluff, White Hall, Redfield, Altheimer, Wabbaseka, Sherrill and Tucker.
No outdoor burning of any kind is permitted during the ban. This includes, but is not limited to burning trash, brush, and campfires. Violation of the burn ban will result in criminal charges and possible civil penalties.
