The Arkansas State Police have issued the following press release on the murder of Kevin Morgan:
The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a shooting death in McGehee.
On December 14, 2024, at approximately 1 a.m., McGehee Police officers discovered Kevin Morgan, 20, in the driver’s seat of a white Chevy Avalanche parked on the side of a residence in the 800 block of North Street.
Morgan appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
The victim’s body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine cause and manner of death.
The investigation is ongoing.

An investigation is underway following a homicide early Saturday morning in McGehee.
According to family members, 20-year-old Kevin Morgan was shot and killed Saturday morning in McGehee. The investigation into the homicide has been turned over to the Arkansas State Police, according to the same family members.
No information about the shooting has been released by law enforcement as of Sunday evening, but a release from the Arkansas State Police with more information is expected to be released on Monday.
