Legislation prohibiting pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) from owning pharmacies in Arkansas is moving its way through the Arkansas General Assembly and, according to Lelan Stice, who owns Doctor’s Orders Pharmacies, is expected to pass before the legislature ends in May.
Stice appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and said PBM’s are “some of the largest companies in the world.”
He continued saying property taxes are still going to get paid.
Stice said $4.3 billion goes to out of state pharmacies for prescriptions each year, and then discussed it further with Greg Horne).
Horne then asked about the state of the legislation.
Stice said the governor has indicated her support for the legislation.
