On Wednesday, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed legislation that will force CVS to either close the 23 pharmacies they operate in the state or to divest those pharmacies from the company’s PBM’s (Pharmacy Benefit Managers).
Lelan Stice, the owner of Doctor’s Orders Pharmacies in Pine Bluff and Star City was one of the pharmacy owners who pushed for the legislation and on Thursday said other states are looking at copying that legislation in their own state.
Stice appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show to explain.
Morning Show host Greg Horne said the legislation will change the way consumers interact with pharmacies in Arkansas and maybe across the whole country.
