A $250,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff teenager accused of shooting a man in June and stealing a Play Station.
Jefferson Conty District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Paul Haltiwanger Jr., 18, with first-degree battery and theft of property by force.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on June 14 at 7:55 p.m., police were sent to West 34th Avenue in response to a report that a male had been shot.
Akel said police took a statement from the victim who said he, Haltiwanger and two others were playing video games and he got up to go to the door to get the food that he had delivered.
Haltiwanger was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Aug. 8.
