A $75,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into a residence and kicking and hitting his former girlfriend.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Corey Buckner, 45, with residential burglary and third-degree domestic battery.
According to a probable cause affidavit by Detective Laquincia Smith, police were sent to a reported domestic disturbance Monday on East 26th Avenue and while on the way, received information that the incident had turned into a home invasion.
The victim told police she ran out the back door and fell when she reached the driveway. She said Buckner kicked her and a witness to the incident told police they had seen Buckner kick and hit the victim.
Buckner was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Dec. 11.
