A $75,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening employees of a store and firing a shot in the parking lot of that store.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cardin Benjamin, 38, with endangering the welfare of a minor, theft by receiving, terroristic threatening and felon in possession of a firearm.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on Saturday at 1:54 p.m., officers responded to the Dollar General store on Olive Street in response to a report of a person trespassing.
Alexander said the employee followed Benjamin out of the store.
Benjamin has a previous conviction for residential burglary and third-degree domestic battery.
He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Aug. 26.
