A $5,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of shooting another man Thursday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Robert Peyton, 54, with first-degree battery.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Thursday evening, police were sent to a house on Pennsylvania Street in response to a reported shooting.
West said Peyton was taken to the Detective Office where he made a statement.
Peyton was told to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Aug. 9.
