A $5,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man who admitted injuring his girlfriend during an altercation Tuesday.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Ahmad Strain, 46, with second offense third-degree domestic battery, a felony.
During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Katelyn Phillips said Strain was convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery on Jan. 6, 2020.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Phillips explained the allegation against Strain.
Strain was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Aug. 22.
