A $25,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man who fled from sheriff’s deputies Wednesday afternoon, resulting in a chase through the Dollarway area.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Adell Dickson, 26, with fleeing.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on Wednesday at 5:20 p.m., deputies were at the intersection of Blake Street and the Martha Mitchell Expressway when they saw a vehicle with an expired tag.

Akel said the vehicle later determined to be driven by Dickson continued to flee from deputies and turned left on Malcomb Street.

Dickson is currently on probation and has one prior felony conviction. He was told to come back to court May 9.
