A $25,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery after he was arrested Sunday on a new allegation.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Dionne Woods, 35, with second offense third-degree domestic battery, a felony.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said at 12:42 p.m., a police officer was sent to 105 E. 26th Ave., St. John Apartments in response to a reported domestic disturbance.

Alexander said Woods was previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery in April 2022 in Jefferson County District Court.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Sept. 19.
