A $25,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly stabbed another man on Sunday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Casey Grant, 30, with second-degree battery.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Dante Nicholson, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 11:03 p.m., police were called to the Pines Mall in reference to a reported stabbing.

Nicholson reported that while police were on the scene they were called to the Saracen Casino to talk to a man later identified as Grant who said he had been involved in a stabbing.

Grant was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court July 25.
