A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man who led police on a high-speed chase in the early morning hours Monday with his minor son in the vehicle at the time.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cedric Williams Jr., 26, with felony fleeing and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 1:17 a.m. Monday, police were at the Jefferson Square Shopping Center when they saw a vehicle driven by Williams doing donuts on Olive Street at 31st Avenue.

Williams was cited for reckless driving and no headlights with those charges to be added to the felony allegations. He was told to come back to court Dec. 6.
