A Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday and is accused of firing shots at an apartment which contained a woman he knew.
David Strickland, 24, was taken into custody after police stopped the car he was driving near the scene.
During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Katelyn Phillips said Detective Dante Nicholson was off duty and at an apartment complex at 4511 S. Main when he heard gunshots near Apartment 10.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $25,000 bond for Strickland after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault on a family or household member.
Strickland was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Oct. 2.
