A $250,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a man accused of shooting and killing another man earlier in the day.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Devantre Daniels, 30, with first-degree murder and with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Detective Sgt. Keith Banks testified that at 1:50 a.m., police were sent to the area of 22nd and Spruce Street in response to a reported shooting.
Banks testified that the witness picked Daniels out of a six-person photo lineup and said he was the person she had been hanging out with. At 4:43 a.m., Daniels was located and brought to the Detective Office for questioning.
Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Daniels is currently on probation on multiple charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and discharging a firearm from a vehicle and prosecutors will be filing a petition to revoke that probation. He was told to come back to court Aug. 9.
