A $10k bond was set for a man being charged with domestic battery

A Pine Bluff man was arrested Friday after he allegedly slammed a screen door on his mother, causing an injury to her head.

Raven Charles, 39, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a house on Olive Street.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West explained the allegation against Charles.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Charles after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second-degree domestic battery.

He was ordered to have no contact with his mother and told to come back to court Aug. 7.
