A $10,000 bond was set Friday for a man accused of injuring his brother during an altercation last week.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Rashad Smith, 49, with second-degree domestic battery.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on Oct. 15 at 12:12 p.m., police were sent to an unknown trouble call on West 14th Avenue.

Smith was ordered to have no contact with his brother and told to come back to court Dec. 6.
