A $10,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of attempting to take contraband into a prison unit.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kandic Cunningham, 39, with furnishing prohibited articles.

Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said on Sunday at about 1 p.m., Arkansas Department of Corrections employees found a package wrapped in black electrical tape outside the entrance to the Larry B. Norris Unit.

Cunningham was told to come back to court May 21 and said she would hire her own attorney.
