A $100,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly stabbed another man Wednesday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Devonta Reed, 27, with first-degree battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 7:10 p.m., police were sent to Two Brothers One Stop on South Blake Street in response to a reported stabbing.

Akel said Reed has no prior felony convictions or pending charges but has failed to appear in district court six times.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court July 9.
